This Privacy Statement applies only to the practices of the Palliative Directory Website Owner and its employees. The Site will not apply the provisions of this Privacy Statement to Business Contact Information or Aggregated Information.


“Personal Information” includes, your name, address information, personal e-mail address and URL, telephone number, account user name and password, as well as other similar information. We do not currently collect credit/debit card numbers or associated billing addresses and expiration dates, bank account numbers, or other related information.
“Prospect Information” includes the same information as Personal Information except that Prospect Information is information that is submitted by an individual who is not the subject of the data submitted.

“Non-Identifying Personal Information” includes information about you, including, without limitation, your Internet service provider, browser type, domain name, the Web Site that referred you to us, the web pages you request, the date and time of those requests, and entry and exit points.

“Aggregated Information” is any information about more than one individual where the individual identities are unknown and cannot be inferred from the information. Aggregated Information is not Personal Information.”

“Business Contact Information” includes the name, title, business address, or telephone number of an organization, business owner, or employee in an organization, or self-employed person using our directory listing service for the purpose of obtaining clients. It also includes departmental e-mail addresses that contain no individually identifiable information. We also collect information such as primary or additional languages spoken; specialized skills offered; years they have been in practice; insurance they accept from clients as well as any sliding scale or free consultations offered; their website link; and any other pertinent information, if such information is available either in the public domain, or is provided by the relevant organization. Other persons may also provide references and information about an organization, only if that information is in the public domain. We reserve the right to modify any information we believe to be inaccurate or inappropriate, however, we do not have the obligation to do. Business Contact Information is not Personal Information.

Collection of Personal Information or Prospect Information

Users to the public areas of the Site browse anonymously. However, our server does collect aggregate data, such as number of access attempts by page. The Site may also collect Personal Information from you, but only if you provide it to us voluntarily.

We may also collect information (“Personal Information”) from you before allowing access to certain resources and personalization features on the site, or to use certain services we may provide, but only if you provide it to us voluntarily.  You must provide this Personal Information to enter certain parts of our web site. The types of personal information we collect and share depends on how you use the site and the services you wish to access.

Collection and Use of Non-Identifying Personal Information

During your use of our Site, we will collect certain Non-Identifying Personal Information to enhance the functionality of the Site and to make your access more convenient and efficient. We retain Non-Identifying Personal Information and use it to establish Site activity trends, monitor Site performance and improve Site design and functionality and for other business purposes. No personal or unencrypted information will be encoded in cookies that are stored on your computer.

The Site uses both session and persistent cookies to facilitate, track and limit automated activity, and to assist in the collection of site visitation statistics. Log Files

Like most standard web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Collection and Use of Business Information

When you register to be listed in our directories. We collect information that will be used to create your profile in the directory, such as name, address, email address, as well as professional information, such as your qualifications, certifications, the demographic region in which you practice, and your fields of specialty.

Your Posted Materials.

The materials you post on the Site are made available to be seen and read by other users of the Site. No such materials are treated confidentially. We will remove your materials from the Site at your request, but we cannot give any assurances that such materials are not still available from servers maintained by others (such as search engines or proxy servers) or that others have not already downloaded and stored such materials.


We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information or Prospect Information from children under age 16. If you are under age 16, do not share personal information with us.

Use of Personal Information

We may use and disclose Personal Information or Prospect Information as described in this document. In addition to the uses described in this document, we may use Personal Information or Prospect Information for purposes that include maintaining the Site, administration, administrative and analytical purposes, and information system management, or other similar uses. We may also use Personal Information or Prospect Information to provide current and potential palliative service organizations with information about our directory service.

We only collect, use, and disclose Personal Information or Prospect Information for purposes that are reasonable in the circumstances. We use only fair and lawful means to collect Personal Information or Prospect Information. All information provided during registration is securely stored and will in no way be transmitted to third parties. We will not sell or rent your information to anyone.

We reserve the right to use or disclose Aggregated Information and Business Contact Information in ways that we think are appropriate.

Periodically, we may also send you information that we feel may be of benefit to you. We limit these types of informational emails to no more than two per calendar year. You may receive additional emails from us, but only in response to an email you have sent us requesting information. Only the Site (or agents working on behalf of the Site and under confidentiality agreements) will send you these direct mailings. If you do not want to receive such mailings, simply tell us when you give us your personal information. Or, at any time you can easily opt-out of the Site mailing list or update your information.

Third-Party Agents of Site

Directory Participants

Our Palliative Directory aims to offer you quick and easy access to palliative care offers. Its continuing operation and growth depend on the integrity and honesty of its users. Only references and sources that are in the public domain will be accepted. Palliative Directory reserves the right to modify or remove any inappropriate information. The directory is free to use. We do not share Personal Information or Prospect Information with directory listings. You must provide  your personal information to the service provider of your choice. However, we collect and maintain certain personal data regarding your interaction with directory participants –  for administrative and analytical purposes like accounting, billing and audits, information system management, and other, similar uses.

Business Transfers

As we continue to develop our business, we might buy or sell business units. In these transactions, Personal Information or Prospect Information is often transferred, but it remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Statement, unless an individual consents otherwise.

Retention and Access

We do not collect or keep credit/debit card and/or related information on file online or offline.
